Michael Aaron Brown, M.A., CBPI, CAMS-I — widely known as Instructor Mike — is a nationally recognized educator, certified parenting instructor, and firearms/security/law enforcement training expert based in Chicago, Illinois.

What makes his work unique is simple: he doesn’t treat parenting as therapy — he treats it as training. He teaches that most personal and family struggles are not signs of brokenness, but signs of under-training. His approach blends early childhood education, family and consumer sciences, psychology, and law to create practical, skill-based strategies that work in the real world.
 

Instructor Mike is the owner of Security Training Concepts and MABMA Enterprises, LLC, where he has trained thousands in safety, law, parenting, and personal responsibility. He also leads Family Matters with Instructor Mike, a podcast and educational platform focused on parenting, early childhood development, and community accountability.
 

With a background as a former law enforcement officer, adjunct professor of criminal justice, and current student of Early Childhood Education, Instructor Mike bridges worlds that are rarely connected:
